Aerodynamic simulation and structural optimization of air filter
摘要
Abstract
Using a porous medium model, numerical simulations of the aerodynamics characteristics for the air filter and its inlet and outlet pipes were carried out to analyze the flow resistance losses in them and filter flow uniformity. Afterwards, the air flow characteristics were also studied when the inlet pipe was extended to inside of the filter and baffles were put inside the filter. The simulation results show that the flow loss and filter flow uniformity both decrease when the inlet pipe is extended to inside of the filter; the flow loss increases and filter flow uniformity drops when baffles structure is applied, and the flow loss increases a bit but filter flow uniformity is much better with a inclined inlet section of the inlet pipe.关键词
