摘要

Abstract

When the coal mining machine is working, the diameter of the roller is generally given, but its mass-moment of inertia is adjustable. By changing the thickness of the tube hub and the blade, the mass-moment of inertia of the roller will increase and the roller can store energy just like a flying wheel, maintain the stable rotation, and reduce the vibration of the machine. Using the Lab VIEW platform and the data acquisition card, the change of the vibration amplitude was quantified with the known mass and the increment of the mass-moment of inertia of the roller. The influence of the mass-moment of inertia on the amplitude was tested. It was found that when the moment of inertia is increased by 11 %, the amplitude can be reduced by 9 %; and when the mass-moment of inertia is increased by 23 %, the amplitude can be reduced by 11 %. This finding may have practical significance in the roller' s design for maintaining the stability of coal mining machine' s operation.
