摘要

Abstract

The poor heat stability and uniformity of hardness of gray cast iron piston casting decreased its corrosion resistance and abrasive resistance. In order to improve the performance of gray cast iron piston in as-cast condition and satisfy operating requirements, choosing raw material and chemical composition, molding technology and gating system designing, smelting, inoculation and other aspects are optimized and effectively controlled. The gray cast iron piston castings in as-cast condition satisfying technical requirements are successfully produced. The yield of the castings is above 95%. The castings have been widely used in wagon brake cylinder.
