Abstract
The effect of carbon content and alloying element on the microstracture, phase structure, white layer thickness and chromium concentration, microhardness of the chromized layer by low temperature salt-bath chromizing were investigated by means of optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that die strong carbide elements hinder the diffusion of chromium and carbon, the white layer thickness and microhardness, surface chromium concentration of the chromized layer are reduced. But carbon content promotes the progression of the salt-bath chromizing, increases the depth of chromizing layer, improves the hardness and the chromium concentration of chromizing layer. T10 steel surface chromium concentration can reach 85.4%, 45 steel reach 81.3%, and the surface hardness is T10 steel 1 380 HV, 45 steel 1 290 HV.关键词
