Abstract
It is difficult to determine fluid types in low porosity and permeability reservoirs with very complex pore sizes and unknown water salinity. Dielectric scanner logging tool uses gemel poles with 4 kinds of frequencies, and has different probing depths with 4 in deepest depth, and can measure formation permittivity. Permittivity difference of hydrocarbon and water is bigger. Water porosity of the invaded zone is estimated through the permittivity by inversion, then hydrocarbon saturation is got by comparing the total porosity from conventional log or NMR log. Dielectric scanner logging technology not only acquires formation water porosity, but also get m, n reflecting rock structure and cation exchange capacity. Introduced are the basic method, the principle and application of dielectric scanner logging. Analyzed are cases of dielectric scanner logging in Changqing oilfield, and the interpretation results agree well with testing results.关键词
