Abstract
Since the 4th century when glass was applied in the windows and doors of the buildings by the Roman. this magic material has experienced a long development process. Nowadays, the glass material is still a focus topic in architecture design. The manufacturing technique. building system, expression way, and philosophy implication become more prosperous. Taking some contemporary architectural works as examples and from three independent and linked angles, this article makes an analysis on the glass material used by the architects for space, environment, esthetics and philosophy, discusses the poetic expression of glass as architectural material, and has a humanism thinking on architecture.关键词
