Influence of Hyperbilirubinemia and Infection on Erythrocyte Immune Function in Neonates

Abstract
Objective; To analyze the influence of hyperbilirubinemia and infection on erythrocyte immune funclion in neonales. Methods; From January to December, 2010, 135 neonatea diagnosed hyperbilirubinemia, with bilirubin levels thai exceeded 220.6 μmol/L, were detected with eiythrocyte rossettet tesl and divided into two groups. Among these neonates, the group 1 whose total bilirubin were between 220.6 μmol/L and 342.0 μmol/L were categorized as two parts, one with infection, the other without infection. Group 2 whose lotal bilirubin were above 342. 0 μmol/L were categorized as two parts, one with infection, the other without infection. 50 healthy neonates were enrolled as the control group. Results; The erythrocyte immune function in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia was lower than that in the control group (11. 12±3.53), but there was only a significant difference (r = 2.084, P<0.05) in group 2 (9.64±2.89). There was no correlation between the level of bilirubin and the erythrocyte immune function in group I ? but there was positive correlation in group 2 (r=-0.363, P<0. 05). On the other hand, the erythrocyte immune function in neonates diagnosed hyperbilirubinemia with infection (9.58±3.02) was lower than that in the control group 0 = 2.497, P<0.05). While comparing the bilirubin in group 1, there was a significant difference (/= 1. 9%, P<0. 05 ) between the ones with infection (9. 67±3. 20) and the others with out infection ( 10.93l3. 01) . Comparing the bilirubin in group 2, there was no significant difference (t=1.622t P<0. 05 ) between the ones with infection (8. 21 ±2. 95) and the others without infection (9.78±2.87). Conclusions; There was a decrease in erylhroeyte immune function in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia. The erythrocyte immune function of the neonates with infection was decreased too. The erythrocyte immune function in neonates diagnosed with hyperbilirubinemia and infection was much lower than that in the control group.关键词
