Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of avastin on rat adjuvant-induced arthritis ( AIA ). Methods The anti -rheumatic efficacy of avastin was assessed in rats according to body weight, the swell degree of the left and right hind ankle, arthritic index, and radiological score. Meanwhile, Serum TNF - α and VEGF levels were also measured. Results Compared with AIA group, there was significant alleviation of body weight loss, swell degree of the left and right hind ankle, arthritic index, and bone erosions with avastin treatment. Although the serum TNF-α and VEGF were reduced with avastin treatment, no significant difference was revealed. Conclusion Avastin is able to alleviate the AIA in rats.关键词
