摘要

Abstract

Under the condition of hypoxia, bone loss would happen, and bone heal would be delayed, even nonunion, and osseointegration would be delayed after implant surgery. Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) 2 is the central regulator of osteoblast differentiation and participates in the process of bone and cartilage formation whether it is in an individual or combined way. In this article, the bone reaction, the influence of BMP2 on osteoblast and osteoclast differentiation, as well as the interaction between BMP2 and vascular endothelial growth factor and the mechanism of BMP2 regulation of osseointegration under hypoxia are reviewed.
