Advances in application of glutamine synthetase in plant genetic engineering
摘要
Abstract
Ghitamine synthetase(GS)is not only the key enzyme for ammonia assimilation, but also plays a significant role in stress resistance and enhancing crop yield. Kinds of GS, structure, gene expression, and its fundamental role in plant genetic engineering were reviewed and discussed in the present paper. It has been considered that mechanism of nitrogen uptake and its transportation, the role of GS in plant growth, adjustment mechanism, and the application of GS enzymes in male sterility in breeding were suggested to be explored further.关键词
