Abstract
Basing on MICAPS data, NCEP data and Doppler weather radar data, the heavy rainfall pro- cess caused by 1117 strong typhoon"Neuchatel"in Hainan Island were analyzed. The results show that the strong southwest monsoon provides the ample moisture and energy. The double"train effect"in Radar echo is the main reason of the heavy rainfall. The warm advection superimposing on the convergent wind field is conducive to the formation and maintenance of heavy precipitation. Adverse wind regions (AWR) are cor- responding to the heavy precipitation center. The topography played a significant increase role on precipi- tation.关键词
