Abstract
Objective;To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint thread-embedding for pediatric bronchial asthma in the chronic persis-tent phase. Methods: Sixty patients suffering bronchial asthma in the chronic persistent phase were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group were given acupoint thread-embedding on mainly acupoints including Da zhui,Ding chuan,Fei shu,Shen shu,Zu sanli and Feng long,together with oral montelukast therapy with daily dose of 5mg in patients between 6 and 14 years old,for patients between 2 and 5 years old,the oral dose was 4mg daily. While patients in the control group were given oral montelukast only. Then observe the clinical efficacy and levels of sero IgE and IL-4 after three months therapy. Results: The total effective rate was 86.67% ,which was higher than that in the control group(73. 33%). The difference between the two groups was significant(P < 0. 05). The levels of serum IgE and IL-4 was decreased significantly in the therapy group. Conclusions:The clinical efficacy of acupoint thread-embedding for pediatric bronchial asthma in the chronic persistent phase is definite, which can improve clinical symptoms and decrease levels of serum IgE and IL-4.关键词
