Experimental study on potassium catalyst recovery in coal catalytic gasification

摘要

Abstract

The recovery process of KOH catalyst in the residue of Inner Mongolia Pingzhuang coal-steam catalytic gasification was studied. The effects of time, temperature, ratio of water to residue and washing times on the potassium yield were investigated. The results show that the loss of catalyst is negligible in coal-steam catalytic gasification. The soluble potassium recovered by water-scrubbing method shares 80% of total potassium and the active ingredients of the recovered catalyst are K2CO3 and KOH, which account for more than 90% of the total recovered potassium. The yield of potassium increases quickly with the increase of time, and the desired yield can be generally achieved after washing for 4 h. The yield of potassium is significantly improved by increasing the temperature and the ratio of water to residue. Washing three times can get about 90% soluble potassium.
