Abstract
Reanalysis wind data can provide a large scale and high spatial-temporal resolution sea surface wind field, and plays a pivotal role in the wave simulation and forecast. Based on the wind field data from QuickSCAT/ NCEP(Q/N) and ERA validated by the data from Japanese buoy station and and satellites altimeter data, the waves are simulated for 12 months by the WAVEWATCH-Ⅲ model. The results show as follows: wind data from ERA and Q/N are stronger than the actual wind when wind speed is low, but weaker when wind speed is high; the wave height simulated by ERA wind is smaller than that from buoy data; the wave height simulated by Q/N wind is more close to the actual wind.关键词
