Abstract
Objective To solve the difficulty of inserting catheter of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC). Methods Firstly, the place where inserting the catheter became difficult was identified and anatomy area was evaluated. Then part of the catheter was evacuated and then part of the wire. Finally, physiological saline was injected while the catheter was indwelled. Results Among 58 patients, 55 had catheters successfully indwelled. The technique was simple and operational. Conclusion When indwelling difficulty of catheter occurs, we can first withdraw part of the catheter, then withdraw part of the wire. After that, we insert the catheter with saline. After several time, the catheter can be smoothly indwelled.关键词
