Abstract
As an artist, Mr. Wang Ya-ping not only inherits traditions and renews classics, but also develops new ideas and forms his artistic style in creation and manifestation of calligraphy. In particular, Mr. Wang embod- ies his artistic achievements by absorbing and learning from the western sculpture in the modelling and depicting of purple sand. His artistic accomplishment lies in creation, which is fully demonstrated in Wang Ya--ping＇ s crea- tive application of calligraphy to purple sand material. This has added to a new manifestation of the Chinese calli-graphy and presented aesthetic perception and literature conception. With the perfect combination of calligraphy and purple sand sculpture, Wang Ya--ping displays a new look of his unique personality and creative artistic style, and will hopefully move towards a new level of free creation.关键词
