Association between the polymorphism of DJ-1 gene g.168_185del and Parkinson's disease in Xinjiang Uygurs and Hans

Abstract
Objective To explore the association between the polymorphism of DJ-1 gene's promoter region g. 168 _185del and Parkinson's disease (PD) in Xinjiang Uygurs and Hans. Methods The genetic DNA was extracted from 364 PD patients (PD group, 175 Uygur cases and 189 Han cases) and 346 normal controls ( NC group). The gene fragments of DJ-1 gene's promoter region were amplified by PCR. The frequencies of gene type and allele of g. 168_ 185del were identified by DNA sequencing. Results The frequencies of g. 168_185del genotype and allele between PD and NC groups, also PD Uygur and Han subgroups were no significant difference. Conclusion The polymorphism of DJ-1 gene g. 168_185del may be not associated with genetic predisposition of PD in Uygur and Han Nationality.关键词
