Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical characters of craniocerebral firearm injury and improve its diagnosis and treatment. Methods The clinical data of 56 patients of craniocerebral firearm injury in the series were analyzed retrospectively. Projectile, missile types,wound conditions and management were summarized. Results Through surgical procedures, total removal of associated intracranial foreign bodies were achieved in 40 cases, partial removal in 2 cases and no removal in 1 case. Clinical outcome showed that patients were recovered well in 36 cases, mildly disabled 15 cases, severely disabled 2 cases, vegetative state 1 case and death 2 cases. Rate of good recovery in patients with debridement in 8h were significantly higher than thai in patients with debridement after 8h. Conclusions It is characterized by acute, severe, contaminative and changing manefestion of craniocerebral firearm injury. To improve remedy level, it is very important to make an accurate judgement, debride completely as early as possible, select appropriate surgical approach for dislodgment of foreign bodies,and elevate vigilance of associated injuries.关键词
