Stability and Mechanical Performance of Furfurylated Chinese Fir

Abstract
Two formulae of furfuryl alcohol solutions with water and ethanol as the main solvents were prepared for Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata) furfurylation. The results showed that the formula with ethanol as the main solvent increased the overall sample weight by 34% and the treated samples have better anti swelling efficiency (ASE) and mechanical properties than the samples treated with the other formula using water as the main solvent.关键词
