文化翻译论视角下中国大学校训的英译原则
Chinese-English Translation of National University Mottos from the Perspective of Cultural Translation Theory
摘要
Abstract
Translation is the bridge of communication between two languages as well as the carrier of bicultural exchange. To some extent, language translation is also cultural translation. University motto is the concentration of university spirit and culture as well as the reflection of school creation idea, which has such features as being concise and readable. Under the perspective of Cultural Translation Theory, this paper elaborates our national university mottos from the aspects of original language features and cultural impli- cation for the purpose of probing into organized translation principles of national university mottos so as to achieve effective cultural communication.关键词
