Abstract
With the statistics from the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau, Google-earth software and visualization method are used to extract and mine the spatial data. Based on the qualitative description of the spatial expansion direction of the 156 A-grade scenic spots in Guangdong Province, quantitative analysis is made on their spatial expansion rate and trend. It is shown that the amount of 4A and 3A scenic spots in the province had a fast growth, but the scenic space expansion rate was generally with a downward trend, namely from 2.24×104 km2/a in 2002 to 0.32×104 in 2011.The spatial expansion areas have gradually become smaller after 2008, and turned to spatial "re-polarization". That means the A-grade scenic spots in Guangdong Province have turned toward a self-adjustment of "polarization-expansion-re-polarization-balanced direction". It is suggested that for the next ten years attention should be paid to creating 4A and 3A grade scenic spots, and consciously upgrading parts of the scenic spots with prominent natural resource to 5 A, so as to promote the spatial layout of of the A-grade scenic spots in the province to a balanced and harmonious direction.关键词
