Abstract
In this study, the inhibitive effects on Microcystis aeruginosa by fresh cactus ( Opuntia SPP. ) stem water extract and ethanol extract are studied to screen newly, efficient, nontoxic or low toxicity algaecides. The results show that inhibitive effects of two kinds of extract are very obvious. The inhibitive effect is significantly stronger with the increase of extract content ration. The inhibitive effect of ethanol extract is stronger than water. Water extract promoted the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa at low concentration, while the ethanol extract shows steadily inhibitory effects. Antialgal components of cactus are very stable. After being treated by UV and steam sterilization (121℃ , 20min) , it still has strong inhibiting effect on Microcystis aeruginosa. Results show that cactus has great potential to be applied to prevent algae bloom and water eutrophication.关键词
