家兔肌肉生长抑制素基因多态性及其遗传效应分析
POLYMORPHISM AND GENETIC EFFECTS OF MYOSTATIN GENE IN RABBITS

Abstract
The polymorphism of myostatin (MSTN) gene in nine purelines and 37 crossbreds of rabbit was analyzed by sequencing and PCR -SSCP. There exons and partial 5'UTR were detected. Only one mutation (T →-C) at base position 476 of 5'UTR was found among individuals in each line. The genetic effects of this polymorphism on growth traits, partial carcass traits and meat quality traits were investigated. The mutant allele had significant positive effects on live weight, carcass weight, forelegs weight, loin weight, ham weight and -skin weight (P < 0. 05) , and reduced muscle drip loss and cooked rate. The results suggested that the variation in the upstream regulator)' region of MSTN gene was beneficial to the body - development, and could be a potential molecular marker of meat quality traits selection in rabbit.关键词
