Abstract
The holistic and individual concepts of physical standards are analyzed according to international usages respectively. Thus a new Chinese expression for Reference Material (RM) is proposed as a standardized term and it is to be used as the overall concept for physical standards. Suggestions are made also for reforming some corresponding chinese expressions used currently.关键词
