摘要

Abstract

Biomass energy, as is clean and carbon dioxide neutral, is one of the renewable abundant source to replace fossil fuels in future. Biomass thermo-chemical processes can be converted into bio-fuels with the forms of solid, liquid and gas, which can be used to provide heat energy and power. Some advanced thermo-ehemical processes, including combustion, gasification, liquefac- tion and pyrolysis were introduced in this paper. Besides, the problems such as low calorific value of biomass, difficult to transport and storage, hard to separate reaction by-products and demanding to increase policy as well as capital investment were all discussed. Then the further development and research of bio-fuels was prospected.
