Abstract
Objective: To know about the symptom burden and quality of life of colorectal patients and probe into the correlation between symptom burden and quality of life. Methods: A total of 84 cases of colorectal patients in a hospital in Tianjin were investigated by using M D Anderson Symptom Inventory (MDASI) and the MOS 36 - item Short Form Health Survey (SF - 36). Results:The 13 symptom score in all patients was 29. 71?4. 11 and the influencing score of six symptoms for patients' life was 14. 95 ?2. 34. The quality of life of colorectal patients was lower than normal people in Sichuan (P<0. 05 or P<0. 01) ;Pearson correlation analysis demonstrated that 13 symptoms score was negatively correlated with the scores of physiological health, physical function, bodily pain, general health, and vitality dimension score. While the influencing score of six symptoms for patients' life was negatively correlated with the scores of mental component summary and general health, society function and mental health. Conclusion: The colorectal patients have different levels of symptom burden,and quality of life of them is to be improved in the future. We should pay more attention to the assessment and management of patients' symptoms,so as to relieve the symptom and improve the quality of life of colorectal patients.关键词
