Lao zi＇s Ideology and the Localization of Psychological Counseling
摘要
Abstract
Lao zi＇s ideology is comprehensive and profound which implies rich concepts of psychological counseling and therapy. The ＂ nihility＂, ＂ inactivity＂ and ＂ not striving＂ thought have significant implications for the localization of psychological counseling. ＂ Nihility＂ means pure heart can embrace all feelings and experiences. Consultants who are pure in heart can understand visitors without obstacles; visitors who break free of bandage in heart can be in the original nature. ＂ Inactivity＂ conveys the idea that gentle intervention will achieve the effect of ＂ doing nothing but doing everything＂. Consultants cannot make deliberate intervention with the life self--development in order to guide visitors into the self--insight and awareness. ＂ Not striving＂ hints that if consultants ＂ do not claim credit＂, visitors will ＂ not to go＂. When visitors＂ profound insights emerge, consultants retreat.关键词
