Abstract： As an effective way to develop discourses and signal writers＂ communicative intentions, metadiscourse is attracting increasing attention. Scholars have offered various theoretical and practical research findings, as well as controversial topics, especially in the field of identification and classification of metadiscourse. It is further proposed that as an indispensible means in college English teaching metadiscourse be used to promote interaction between teachers and students efficiently.关键词
