Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between second hand smoking (SHS)and cervical cancer(CC). Methods: Information on risk factors of CC and lifetime history of SHS was obtained by personal interviews. Variables were compared using analysis of covar-iance. Associations were assessed using conditional logistic regression models to obtain estimates of OR and Cl. Results:The meta-analysis indicated an increase risk of CC in participants with SHS during the past 10 years(OR 2.592,95% CI 1. 172-5.732). A strong relationship was also observed between duration or strength of SHS in the time setting. No association was found for exposure to SHS 10 years ago or during childhood. Conclusion: A positive association between CC and SHS status in recent 10 years is confirmed.关键词
