Abstract
Based on CINRAD Doppler radar echo and the routine weather data,a squall line happened in the northwestern Tarim Basin on July 21st,2010 was analyzed.It was found that strong echo into the radar scanning area had presented the typical characteristics of squall line.Echo intensity reflected the development process of the squall line.The mesocyclone was associated with the intense convective storm.The rainfall intensity and vertical accumulative liquid water content was instructive to the forecast of timing,quantifying,and locating rainstorm.Vertical wind shear could also reflect the meso-microscale system.The formation mechanism of rainstorm over the Xikerkule town of the Gashi was analyzed as the focus.This study explained that the Doppler radar products showed better indicative function to early warning and forecast of strong convective weather in the west of southern Xinjiang.关键词
