Interaction of VDR gene polymorphisms and environmental factors in tuberculosis in Chongqing

Abstract
Objective To explore the interaction of VDR gene polymorphisms and environmental factors in pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods A case-control study was conducted based on 198 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 195 healthy people. Taq I and Fokl polymorphism of VDR gene was analyzed by high resolution melting curve technique ( HRM ). A questionnaire was used to collect environmental exposure. Univariate and multivariate conditional logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the interaction of VDR gene polymorphisms and environmental factors in pulmonary tuberculosis. Results Exposure history of tuberculosis patients, smoking, living crowded, windows opened occasionally, work intensity and Fok Ⅰ-ff genotypes of VDR gene were associated with tuberculosis( P < 0. 05 ). The interaction of exposure history of tuberculosis patients, smoking and Fok I-ff was significant. Conclusion There are certain interaction between Fok I-ff polymorphisms of VDR gene with smoking and exposure history in tuberculosis.关键词
