Abstract
Objective To investigate the feasibility and therapeutic effectiveness of tension-free hemio-plasty of ventral incisional hemia by laparoendoscopie single-site surgery. Methods One female patienl of ventral incisional hernia received twice abdominal operations was performed tension-free hernioplasty via laparoendoscopie single-site surgery. The operating procedure was as follows: After general anesthesia, a transverse incision with 2.5 cm length was made at the crossed site of umbilical plane and left anterior axillary line with the patient in supine position. A Tri-port was placed via the transverse incision. Followed disassociating the adhesions, the mesh was placed and fixed to the abdominal wall by hooked needle and Protack. Results The operation time was 90 minutes and blood loss was less than 10 ml. The postoperative hospital slay was 7 days. The incision healed well and no hernia recurred 1 month follow-up after the operation. Conclusions It is safe and feasible of the tension-free hernioplasty for ventral incisional hernia via laparoendoscopie single-site surgery. Compared with traditional laparoscopic operation, it appears no difference in operation time and better cosmetic results with less injury.
