摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the clinic effects in the treatment of the distal tibia! fractures with minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis( MIPPO) techniques. Methods From May 2006 to November 2009,82 patients with distal tibial fractures were divided into two groups, group A(35 cases)treated by minimally invasive percutaneous anatomic plate fixation and group B (47cases) treated by minimally invasive percutaneous locking compression plate fixation. The clinical outcomes were analyzed retrospectively. Statistical analyses were conducted to compare the operating time, intraoperative blood lose, hospital stay, hospitalization charges, bone healing time, complication rale, and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AO-FAS) ankle-hindfool score at the lime of the last follow-up. Results All the 82 patients were followed up for 16 -48 months with(24.6 ?.2)months in average. There was no statistical difference in the operating time, intraoperative blood lose, bone healing time, hospital slay, AOFAS score at the time of the last follow-up between the two groups(P>0. 05). The hospitalization expenses in group A was significantly less than that of group B (P < 0. 05). Comclusions All the two methods can achieve satisfactory functional recovery in treatment of the distal tibial fractures, but the minimally invasive percutaneous anatomic plate fixation for the distal tibial fractures has lower hospitalization charges than using the locking compression plates.
