Effect of Jiedu Qingfei Mixture on Airway Goblet Cell in Rats with AECOPD of Phlegm-heat in Lung Syndrome

Abstract
Objective To research the effect of Jiedu Qingfei mixture on airway mucus hypersecretion of rats with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). Methods A total of 96 rats were randomly divided into control group, model group and TCM treatment group. Rats in TCM treatment group and model group were treated by cigarette smoking and LPS dripping to make model, and were given Jiedu Qingfei mixture and saline in dosage of 1 mL/100 g per day respectively. The rats in each group were killed at 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th day respectively, and were performed with AB-PAS stain to count goblet cell. Results There was significant difference between control group and model group in each stage at 20th, 30th, 40th day (P＜0.05). There was a significant difference between treatment group and model group (P＜0.05). Conclusion Jiedu Qingfei mixture can reduce airway mucus hypersecretion of rat model with AECOPD by relieving goblet cell metaplasia.关键词
