Abstract
Nostalgia by Yu Guangzhong and Gazing at My Home Town near the Border by Luofu are two well - known representatives among the poems about nostalgia in Taiwan. Both poets have had difficult times and struggled in different places. They both tried to learn from western poets and then turn to traditional Chinese approaches in poem writing. Nostalgia, which is caused by the block in time and space, is the theme shared by both po- ems. Nostalgia by Yu Guangzhong reflects the static situation and many people may have the same feeling of Nostalgia as Mr. Yu does. The verses are often of the same length and the rhythm is slow. The images are simple and clear and the language is concise and beautiful. As for Gazing at My Home Town near the Border, it is quite unique and creative and creativity is the key feature of Luofu＇s poems. It was composed when Luofu was near his hometown and had rather complicated feelings. It expressed his individual experience of nostalgia. The length of the verses varies from line to line and the structure is flexible. The rhythm is quick and the images are new and surprising. Luofu＇s language is full of magic to readers.关键词
