Abstract

The effects of different concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus and GeO2 on the growth of Caulerpa lentillifera were studied. Results showed that different concentrations of nitrogen had different effects on the growth of Cmd.erpa lentillifera. The wet weight of Caulerpa lentillifera was the highest when it was cultured in 15 mg/kg within the tested range of nitrogen concentration (0-50 mg/kg ). The effects of different concentrations of phosphorus on the growth of Caulerpa lentiUifera were similar. The wet weight of Caulerpa lentillifera was the highest in the 4 mg/kg in the tested treatments.( 0-5 mk/kg ). It was found that different levels of GeO2 could effectively inhibit the growth and reproduce of epiphytic diatoms within the level extent (0 -50 mg/kg) while the chemical had no significant toxicological effect on the growth of Caulerpa lentillifera, especially when it was cultured in the 2 mg/kg group. This study will provide experimental evidence for the large-scale artificial farming work after introduction.
