Abstract

In this paper, we studied the absorption degree of Cr(Ⅲ) in Spirulina platensis which cultivated in chromium (Ⅲ)-riched Zarrouk medium, by extracting proteins with ammonium sulfate precipitation, analyzing the content of Cr(Ⅲ) in protein components. And then we investigated the inhibition effect of chromium (Ⅲ)-riched Spirulina platensis proteins on alpha-glucosidase. The results showed that Spirulina platensis growed in culture medium added with 300 mg·L-1 CrCl3·6H2O, the total enriched Cr(Ⅲ) and its organic degree of Cr(Ⅲ) could reach to 3.30 mg·g-1 and 70.2%, correspondingly. When different saturated solution (25%, 50% and 75%) of ammonium sulfate were used to precipitate proteins, the proportion of Cr(Ⅲ) in protein components to total Cr(Ⅲ) were 2.1%, 16.8% and 7.0%, respectively. The abilities of different proteins combined with Cr (Ⅲ) were different. The three protein components had different inhibition activities on alpha-glucosidase. Among them, protein components precipitated by 50% saturation solution of ammonium sulfate revealed the best inhibition effect on alpha-glucosidase, with IC50 of 69.87 mg·mL-1.
