Abstract
[Objective] The study aimed to discuss the effects of (NH4)2SO4 on the germination and seedling growth of Zea mays L . [Method] The seeds of Z. mays were irradiated by (NH4)2SO4 at five dosages of 0, 3 , 6, 9 and 12 mmol/L to study the influence of (NH4)2SO4 on the seed germination and seedling growth of Z. mays. [Result] Low concentration (NH4)2SO4 can promote the germination of corn seed and seedling growth, and the (NH4)2SO4 increases with the increase of concentration. When (NH4)2SO4 concentration is 9 mmol/L, (NH4)2SO4 can greatly promote the corn the germination rate and germination potential of seeds, as well as the root length and seedling length, the promotion effect declined with the increasing concentration. [Conclusion] ( NH4)2SO4 had effects on the germination rate of seed, the length of root and the height of seedling of Z. mays. 9 mmol/L ( NH4)2SO4 favored the seed germination rate and was beneficial to the growth of the young plants of Z. mays. The low radiation dosage favored the promotion of seed germination and seedling growth, but the higher radiation dosage could restrain its germination and seedling growth.关键词
