Non-linear companding schemes for peak-to-average power ratio reduction of SC-FDMA system

Abstract
For considering the issue that SC-FDMA system till suffers large PAPR in the multiuser situation, we try to apply two non-linear companding schemes , μ-law and Exponential Companding ( EC) , which were usually used to reduce the PAPR in the OFDMA system, in the SC-FDMA system to further reduce the PAPR. Computer simulation results show that both of them can offer clear PAPR reduction in the SC-FDMA system and the EC companding has better result than μ-law companding. Meantime, the companding brings some influences to BER performance: both companding schemes improve the performance of BER at the worse SNR; however, with the increasing SNR there are some BER performances lost.关键词
