A novel smooth quadratic multi-scroll chaotic system and its implementation based on FPGA

Abstract
A family of multi-scroll chaotic systems with smooth quadratic function was presented in this paper,. These systems are supplement and perfection for current multi-scroll chaotic systems. Based on a multi-scroll chaotic system, a novel multi-scroll chaotic system was constructed by properly modifying original system and appending a smooth quadratic function term. Through the analysis of the equilibrium points of the system and the numerical simulations for the Lyapunov exponent spectrum, bifurcation diagram, phase diagram and Poincaré mapping, it showed that the system had complicated dynamic characteristics. Based on IEEE-754 standard, the multi-scroll chaotic signal generator was designed based on FPGA. The results of hardware experiments were in agreement with numerical simulations.关键词
