Human-powered integrated LED lighting system using super capacitor for multi-source electricity recharging

摘要

Abstract

Based on feasibility evaluation, a human-powered integrated lamp system combining super multi-source capacitor and LED together was designed and fabricated. The system worked by using hand or foot driven generator and other generators to charge super capacitance for storing electricity. According to different degrees of electric resistance, four levels of engine states were designed for option. The storage of electric energy could be used to charge LED, various digital products, accumulators and rechargeable batteries by using multi grade DC-DC transfer connector. According to the measurements, the charging process for the super capacitance series (13.5 V/96 F, 1" level of engine state) took about 3.5 minutes with the hand dynamo, whose rated power was 12 W. The super capacitor series thus recharged could keep driving the energy-saving LED lamp (24 V, 4 W) to continuously work for 5.8 minutes. When the super capacitance series (all the engine states) were fully charged, and the LED lamp could work for 21.7 minutes at the most. The present system could be used in large-scale or served as new green-energy electrical appliances in the home, office and outdoor environment.
