Analysis and Control of Interval Tie Line Power Oscillations Based on Power Distribution Method

Abstract
A branch power distribution method is proposed, combined with dynamic stability theory to analyze the tmpact ot generators on the power oscillation of tie line and corresponding controls to post-fault inter-area oscillations. The impact of generator output to transmission power of tie line is derived according to the network structure. Matrix pencil analysis is utilized to identify the modes of the power oscillations and to the amplitudes of oscillation modes. Based on these analysis, a post-fault control measure of rescheduling power generation based on general branch contribution factor (GBCF) is proposed to suppress the interval oscillations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the case study on CEPRI 8-generator 36-bus system. Test results show that the method can effectively enhance system damping and well damps post-fault inter-area power oscillations.关键词
