Widelarea Backup Protection System Based on Information Fusion with Adjacent Substation

Abstract
A powerful technical platform is provided with artificial intelligence technology for the study on fault tolerance of the wide-area backup protection system. With artificial intelligence technology, a wide-area backup protection algorithm based on information fusion with adjacent substation is proposed for application of backup protection system to the centralized substation. Wide-area backup protection system collects various main protection information and back-up protection information from the local substation and adjacent substations, and a fusion strategy is adopted for acquired information. The adaptive function of genetic algorithm (C-A) is formed. The absent or error information of local substation can be correct with the optimal search of GA. Simulation test on IEEE 5-generator, 14-bus system shows that the method is simple, effective and with high reliability.关键词
