Spectrophotometric Determination of Piperlonguminine Based on The Charge Transfer Reaction Between Piperlonguminine and o-Nitrophenyl Fluorone

Abstract
A rapid and convenient spectrophotomelric method for the determination of piperlongumi-nine was established in the present work. The method utilized charge transfer reaction between piperlonguminine and o-nitrophenyl fluorone in pH 7. 00 buffer solution. The maximum absorption wavelength of the charge transfer complex was at 515 run and the apparent molar absorptivity was 6.571 ×104 L · mol-1 · cm-1 with a 1 : 1 stoichiometry. Beer's law was obeyed in the range of 0.054 6 ~ 10.92 μg/mL of piperlonguminine with the detection limit of 0.015 3 μg/mL. The reaction mechanism was discussed preliminarily. The proposed method was applied to the biological and urine samples spiked with standard piperlonguminine solution. The recovery of the samples was within the range of 99.8% -100.9% and relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.90%.关键词
