摘要

Abstract

This paper studies the plankton community of paddlefish (Pclyodon spathula) polyculture ponds in comparison with big-head carp (Aristichthys nobilis) polyculture pond from April to December in 2009. In terms of number, the species of Cyanophyta and Chlorophyta dominated the community of phytoplankton during the experiment. However, Euglenophyta was the most important components of the phytoplankton community in terms of biomass. The high days of number and biomass of the zooplankton in 5 ponds were from June to August. However, the number and biomass of zooplankton in 5 ponds were at low level monthly. The mini-type plankton (minitype phytoplankton and minitype protozoa) increased during the experiment. The changes of biomass of Chloro-phyta and Euglenophyta in 5 ponds had significant correlation with N/P. Plankton insignificantly differed between paddlefish culture pond and A. nobilis pond. It was suggested that stocking paddlefish as the assistant cultured species in small deep-sullage ponds common in Jianghan Plain is practicable.
