ANALYSIS OF METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS AND EXPLORATION POTENTIALITY IN THE BUYANT UPLIFT, INNER MONGOLIA

Abstract
With discussion on the characteristics of strata, structure and magmatic rocks in the Buyant Uplift in Inner Mongolia, the types of mineral resources and typical deposits in this area are introduced in detail. The potentiality for mineral exploration is analyzed in the aspects of ore-bearing capability of rocks, geochemistry, geophysics and heavy minerals. Based on the study of regional ore-forming law, the prospective areas are set up for future exploration. It is concluded that there is great potentiality for a successful mineral exploration in Buyant Uplift. The ultrabasic-related unconventional mineral resources might be a concern in further prospecting. The areas with high magnetic anomaly, high polarizability anomaly, high geochemical anomaly and low resistivity anomaly should be paid more attention.关键词
