Abstract
Aim;To investigate the protein and mRNA expressions of endothelial differentiation gene (Edg)2 in the placenta of patients with preeclampsia. Methods: Immunohistochemistry SP method and RT -PCR were used to detect the protein and mRNA expressions of Edg2 in the placenta of 40 cases of preeclampsia (20 cases of mild preeclampsia and 20 cases of severe preeclampsia ) and 20 cases of normal late pregnant women. Results: The expression of Edg2 protein in the trophoblast and decidual cell of placental tissue , and the expression of Edg2 mRNA in placental tissues among the 3 groups had significant differences {F/χ2 = 19. 063 ,19. 063 ,and 2 232. 999 ,P <0. 001} ,which were higher in mild and severe preeclampsia patients than those in normal later pregnant women , and higher in severe preeclampsia patients than those in mild preeclampsia patients. Conclusion:The abnormal expression of Edg2 may be related with the process of genesis and devel -opment of preeclampsia.关键词
