摘要

Abstract

The paper reviews the dynamic tests program for Atlas 5 HLV, which involves the acoustic testing, the vibration testing, the modal & stiffness testing, the slosh testing, the ground winds wind tunnel tests, the shock testing, the hot fire testing and the wind tunnel testing (7.9% scale model buffet/acoustics tests). It involves also the acoustic suppression water system concept which is used in Atlas V development to minimize the launch risk. In the end, the paper discusses the modal testing of the full scale launch vehicles.
