Analysis and Countermeasures of False Target Interference of Active Sonar Used by Surface Combat Group

Abstract
Investigation of false target interference of active sonar under conditions of surface combat group usage has been proposed with countermeasures of tactics. In order to tackle the problems of false target interference caused by active sonar, sonar equation has been used to establish the uniform jamming equation according to the sources and types of false target interference. Thereafter, a typical small combat group has been used as example for numerical simulation, and the results show that (1) false target interference caused by same-fre quency sonar waveform usually forms the most severe interference; (2) false target interference can be effectively suppressed via split-bands in frequency domain and distinguished by changing detecting range. The research will provide some insights for active sonar combat use under group condition and technical modification for jamming countermeasure.关键词
