Abstract
P- glycoprotein( P-pg) is the product of ABCB1 gene, resides in many tissues. It expels substrate drugs effectively by limiting them ingress in central nervous system, decreasing oral absorption, and speeding excreting. The paper reviewed effects of P-gp to drug distribution, intestinal tract drug absorption, drug excretion of bile and kidney, Dirofilaria immitis preventive medication, introduced clinical evaluation of ABCB1 gene animals, interaction of P-gp and drugs, and relationship of P-gp and blood brain barrier, which provides reference for clinical application of veterinary drugs.关键词
